Palacio Torre De Ruesga, chosen by my director for our recent business trip to Ruesga, Cantabria, proved to be an excellent choice. The hotel offers a wide range of facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, and even canoeing. These amenities provided a perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day of meetings and work. The picturesque surroundings further added to the charm of the place, allowing me to fully indulge in the tranquility of the region.
The only minor negative aspect of my experience was the initial welcome, which could have been warmer and more attentive.

Friendly, very helpful staff, even though they spoke limited English. Very pleasant surroundings and beautifully renovated hotel.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite with access to the garden. The hotel is a very well preserved old tower with attached houses around in the gardens. Our room had a large Jacuzzi (it could accommodate two people lying lengthwise without bending over). It has free private parking, spacious.. The breakfast has homemade pastries and good quality sausage and fruit. A very nice hotel to spend a romantic night
For a high-class hotel... there would be small details that I was missing: bad ventilation in the room - when you turn on the Jacuzzi everything would immediately fog over and there would be a lot of humidity inside the room. The breakfast coffee is from a vending machine. And the juice is not natural. We thought it was a very nice hotel but it was too expensive - probably because it was in the high season.

The hiking trails offered breathtaking views and the cycling tour was a great adventure for the whole family. We also enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon canoeing in the nearby river - such a thrilling experience!
For dads, it would be great to have a dedicated play area for children.

Great old building with modern touch. Gardens are a delight. Our room was 2 story in tower bed upstairs, lounge bathromm etc downstairs. For an old building the wi-fi was perfect. Very romantic
During our stay it was under staffed - but those working worked hard to cover things with a smile on their face! One girl kept popping up in many different roles.

The atmosphere in the hotel was absolutely delightful. The charming and rustic decoration of the building, with its quirky features and nooks and crannies, created a warm and cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The general areas, such as the games room, library, and drawing room, were beautifully decorated and perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. Additionally, the accessibility of the hotel for senior people was excellent. The staff was always willing to assist and ensure that all my needs were met, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The only thing I would have asked for is a bit more fresh air in the room. Although the atmosphere was great, the air in my room felt somewhat damp and lacking in freshness.

The menu was restricted and the food less well executed and more expensive than at other nearby restaurants.

The value for money at this hotel was great. The room had a delightful view of the garden and mountains, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff, especially the owner/manager, were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The morning meal could have been improved by offering a wider selection of gluten-free options.

Beautiful receptionist with flawless English, provided informative and warm assistance. Food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. Spacious and quiet family room in the tower. Modern bathroom with well-equipped historic rest. Prompt provision of extra bed. Rustic and charming setting, with a slightly small but modernized pool. Reasonable prices.

The hotel is nestled in a bucolic, secluded area with beautiful gardens and breathtaking mountain views. A short drive away are close by villages where delightful restaurants can be found. The spacious rooms feature comfortable and cozy beds with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Bathrooms have modern functionality with ample space and clean lines. The staff is friendly and courteous, providing an outstanding breakfast. By exploring the extensive gardens, one can always find a quiet spot to relax or just take in the scenic countryside.
The hotel lacks a heated swimming pool, which is unsuitable for people visiting in colder months.
